MASSAGE FAQs: Service Etiquette, Cancellation and Rescheduling

What happens if I cancel or want to reschedule my booking?

As unforeseen circumstances can occur, Laura’s Touch will fully refund a booking if cancelled within 24 hrs notice. If in the unlikely event, your booking has to be cancelled by the therapist, you will receive a full refund or your booking will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time. If you need to reschedule your appointment day or time please call: 0208 058 5668 or email. Please ensure you provide a minimum of 24 hrs notice for any rescheduling requests.

The cancellation policy is as follows:

If you need to change or amend your booking please ensure you call 0208 058 5668 within 24hrs to do so. Please note that any amendments to date or scheduled time for a treatment, is subject to the same appointment cancellation policy as above.

Service Etiquette

All services provided by Laura’s Touch is strictly professional and entirely remedial and therapeutic i.e. of a Non Sexual nature. Any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and the booking immediately cancelled.

Scheduled appointment time

Home Visits: If you have booked a home visit, please ensure that you are at the location that you have booked your treatment at on time. If you are more than 20 mins late, the booking will be cancelled and not refunded. Please ensure that the room in which the massage will be carried out has been cleared and is ready prior to the booking, for the massage table to be set up immediately on arrival. If you are not ready to begin at the scheduled booked time, the session will end at the original scheduled finishing time and no extra time will be added at the end. Please bear in mind that significant lateness has a knock on effect with other scheduled bookings.

Clinic Visits: If you have booked a clinic visit please ensure you arrive 10 mins before your scheduled appointment time. If you are more than 20 mins late, the booking will be cancelled and not refunded. If you are not ready to begin treatment  at the scheduled  time, the session will end at the original scheduled finishing time and no extra time will be added at the end. Please bear in mind that significant lateness has a knock on effect with other scheduled bookings.

What do I need to provide for the treatment?

Home Visits: Please ensure you have sufficient space for a massage table in a clean and tidy environment. The treatment will only be carried out on a massage table not on any other surface or bed. You will need 3x medium sized clean towels, or 1 very large towel or blanket which will be used to cover the massage bed, a small hand towel and a large towel or blanket to drape you with during your treatment.  Underwear must be kept on at all times during the treatment.

Consultation process

Prior to your appointment you will receive an electronic consultation form to fill before your massage. Please ensure you complete this form prior to your appointment.  Before the treatment commences, a verbal consultation will be carried out to discuss your areas of concern in order for the treatment to be specifically tailored to you. This will be the opportunity for you to discuss and highlight the specific areas of pain and tension you are feeling and your expectations for the treatment. It is also important you mention any allergies or injuries you may have.

Please note that for deep tissue and sports massage, you may experience moderate pain that will subside within 24-48 hrs.

Sidcup Space Clinic:

The above days/times are subject to availability. Please always try to endeavour to book in advance to secure your booking for your preferred day/time. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone if there is a specific day/time you would like to book as I may on some occasions be able to accomodate you.

All bookings must be made online here and full payment is required to secure your booking. Your booking will be confirmed once payment is received/cleared. If you experience any technical difficulties when trying to book please email.

Please note that bookings made between the hours of 7.30 am – 9.30 am for home visits incur a surcharge of £25 extra on the treatment prices. A £10 surcharge is also applied between the hours of 5pm – 7pm for home visits.

Please check your confirmation email which you’ll receive after you’ve completed your booking for parking information.

Home Visits: Treatments can be booked within London. If the booking will be held anywhere besides your personal residence, please ensure that you have received permission to use the premises for your massage session. In addition to this, please ensure a designated private room, large enough to accommodate the massage table is available. Please obtain visitors parking permits where possible, if parking is restricted within the area. Please do not book if there is no available parking within close proximity of your premises.
